I haven't installed the plugs for my m6 yet but I have done the plugs on my wife's 550. The gapping tool and spark plug socket they sell was very helpful. You are definitely going to need a thin walled socket.
Yes I agree, I am getting the NGK Laser Iridium ones which are the best and the factory comes at .32 gapped well they suggest .20, well to me that is for meth injection and way more aggressive set up and as mine is the set up that I have I am going to just gap them and split the difference and run them at maybe .23 or .25 versus the .32 or .20, as I think the 20 is too aggressive. But yes I have the plugs and cold on order and I will install them and yes I have the socket coming too. Thanks.

She is back boys.... the car drives better than ever, and the first night I took her out after I did drove her super hard and she performed amazingly... the coils and plugs looked okay for 60k miles but they were pretty bad... needed changing for sure.

We are good to go and ready to add those HP gains.

Just double checked: All F10 M5's from 2011-2016 use same coil design so something is up with the Eldors they sent you, post a pic when you can and model number stamped on side.
F10 m5s 2013-2016 do not all use the same coil. Brand changes by year, but the biggest change is the where the harness clips in. My 2016 has a little plastic tab that prevents the older series coils from pluggong in.

You want to split the difference from the stock .32, so when I got the 2 step colder ones and I have a stage 2 JB4 tune and I am not running meth, I gapped mine at ,24 to .25 and I have no issues and she runs great... .20 should be if you are running meth as the .20 live minimal gap and you still need that sperk

That's right it's .32 for standard stock gap, gonna be doing mine soon but wait a bit longer maybe until spring.

For sure, if your going to run more horsepower I would gap them a little closer but if you are just changing them gap them stock, but also get the NGK laser iridium's with the Bosch coils

You are correct. I have a build date of 6/2016. Builds after 11/2015 will have a different plug on the connector that plugs into coil. It has no notch. I purchased the Dinan ones last year but they did have the slot and I called them and they told me to modify them and cut the rib off. I did but they still didn’t fit correct to my liking and didn’t pop off like the OEM ones when you lift the lever. Returned and got Delphi. Dinan now makes ones without notch so they now should work with all f10 and f90 now. Will try those after I get some more miles on these ones.

Also on gap, I’m running NGK using a .020 GO and .022 NO GO feeler gauges. So that would make it .021 technically I think. I’m running BM3 OTS Stage 2 100 octane map and zero issues.
