I am getting a little more than irritated by the move-off abruptness of the M5 and general lack of throttle response. I guess that's brought on in part by the Speciale. You might suffer the same fate soon with that razor sharp GT3 motor I might consider the new X6M next year as my people hauler. Never much liked the X6M until this model came along.

BMW has already announced 567HP, 553 lb-ft torque for new models!

The new X6M looks cool! Plus they said that it's faster around the Nurburgring than the E92 M3. Crazy considering it's still over 5,100lbs gross weight. The next M5 is still rumored to drop 180kgs, which is A LOT, so try to imagine as sedan as fast around the ring as a 458! Lol!

I have always find that the M5 is a little too large to drive around on a daily basis, so I figure I should just get the new X6M. U know they say if something doesn't feel right, keep doing it and it will right itself I doubt the next M5 will come close to the 458 in lap times for the next 2 generations. BMW is simply too conservative to take such a big leap.

The looks won me over. I understand it will have an torque converter automatic instead of a dual clutch. I actually prefer the ZF auto over the DCT for such a car as it would be a lot smoother moving off. No need to be overly sporty for such a behemoth. Gobs of power/torque and luxury is a must!

Nope. They are giving me a new 650S this week. a slew of small irritants on my current one. Thy are giving me a car with $15K in additional options. It was the right thing to do.

I am going with Volcano Yellow on this one and it has more carbon fiber.

NO WAY I am leaving MAC!-lol! These cars are RIDICULOUS to drive.

I know exactly how you feel.I now cal the M6 the Queen Elizabeth III. She is enjoyable to take for a cruise but she's a big girl who needs to shift her weight around and get her feet planted to get her heavy butt going in the right direction.
