Audio system is soooo bad!

I have the HiFi Professional system and compared to my c63 (Harman Kardon), it sounds so tinny.
What are the best settings?

Any help is appreciated

There are a couple threads here that deal with setting up the stereo. I think most threads refer to the B&O system but I would try those for starters.

You are comparing the HIFI which is the base system to your C63 Harmon?
I had all three, and they are all pretty bad.

I've got the prof with EQ one and it's potent enough for me.
I find it best, depending on the tunes you play,to have the pointers from the left starting half way then going to the top in the middle then back down on the right then topping it off with the normal base and treble about 3/4 up.Works good for jazz and moderate rock.

S677A HiFi System Professional DSP

I didn't know that was the base system?! Either way, C63 system just sounds nicer to me. Iv tried a few different settings too now, it's just not a great system.

2013, BMW told me the S677A HiFi System Professional DSP is basically an unbranded HK

S676A HiFi Speaker System

I've got this with Surround and Equalizer option. I cannot complain to be honest but I think it could have been better.

For a better experience do the following.
In the main sound menu:
Treble: +10
Bass: +8

The Equalizer settings (top to bottom)
+6
+4
+2
0
+2
+4
+6

Things should be better this way with much deeper bass and clearer vocals. Our speakers cannot handle Mid Range much as I figured. Best way to test this is to listen to some Piano pieces on 75% volume. You'll find that some speakers are being maxed out and will start to rattle. Hence, the lower mid range option is the best option.

Thanks Rafik, it's improved a little but still not impressed. I think BMW in general just can't compete with Merc or Audi when it comes to audio systems, my old M4 with HK sounded tinny as well. Oh well, will have to live with it

I've had a lot of bmws over the years and the hk systems have been pretty bad quality. Usually redo the system. The b&o in the f10 is not bad for bmw and I've not felt the need to rip it out.

I just don't like the fact that BMW actually installed such a normal sound system for an M5, which is supposed to be the highest model of the 5-Series.

You see normal F06 640i with a B&O these days...

And the other problem is, BMW's sound system isn't pretty simple and would require an experienced aftermarket company who can do the enhancements and the modifications, which eventually would cost a hell lot of money.

I had a 535 with Hifi, it was amazing. Was way better than my Mercedes HK

Not sure what your settings are, you might need to adjust the EQ

When the customer ordered the car originally, they chose the base audio system. It's a la carte when you order...

With all due respect, but I do think these settings are not correct.

I will take a picture of my current settings today and post them here.

Lol there's not correct or incorrect here. It's personal preference.

The OP asked about the best settings to maximize his experience. It's not about the personal matter or taste. Of course your settings might suit you well and each to his own. But replying to the OP, your settings will not serve his purpose.

Ok but he doesn't know himself what settings to have so our suggestions will help him get closer to what he wants at least. That is what he has asked for.

The best Settings are those that sound best to you.

With the Logic 7 box ticked, the system sounds excellent. Play around with the equalizer levels, till you are happy.
