pilot sport 4s 305 vs 295 on stock 601m rim

Hi

So I finally found a nice used pair of 601m competition wheels for my m5 zcp

I now need to buy tires, and can see the ps4s 305/30/20 is basicly the same price as the 295`s.

My car is a competition, and feel no need to tune it, but its spinning like crazy with the p-zero tires that are on the car now.

Has anyone fitted the ps4s tires in 305 on the 10 inch 601m rims ?

And what is your recormendation for a tire set up ?

Thanks

you have no problem fitting 305. It will fill out the fender's gap perfectly.

i'm currently run Cup 2 305/30/20 for the rear.

I would like to avoid spacers in the back, so that sounds great, because i dont like the gap

What load rating do you pick for the 305 PS4S, 99Y or 103Y?

On Tirerack, there are a boatload of options...AO Audi, FP Ford Performance, one with no special tag, N0 Porsche, K3 Ferrari, MO Mercedes.

On Discount, there are 2 options for load ratings, 99-SL (OE option GM-Buick/Chev) and 103-XL (OE option Porsche and Ford).

What the heck do we get for ours?

I’m running 305 MP4S on comp wheels with no problems at all. I’m lowered on KW HAS as well. Not sure of the load rating but I can check in the morning.

Just checked the load rating and it’s 103Y. Fwiw I have two sets of tires, one is PSS and the other is PS4S, they’re both 305/30/20 103y. Hope that helps.
