What are these harnesses? Does it have to do with Dinan Stage 1?

I just bought a 2013. The guy had a Dinan stage 1 that he disconnected a long time ago because he was having CELs with it hooked up. I really want to hook it back up...

I found what I think is the Stage 1 unit, tucked near the firewall on the passenger side

I also found these unplugged harnesses just hanging out near the windshield washer fluid reservoir (which is emptying itself without being used, so I have to figure that out). Any idea what these are? Is this related to the Dinan stage 1?

Good luck!

thanks! I've ordered the new cap.

any thoughts on whether I should attempt to hook this Dinan tune up myself vs take it somewhere? what kind of fee would I be looking at for getting it hooked up?

I'm tempted. I just have to figure out where everything goes... I looked at the Dinan installation manual and it's crazy!

Once you plug it in, you'll have to confirm that the software is active.
There are also software updates that Dinan releases so its possible there is an update for that unit

The harness basically piggybacks onto both ECU's
Its pretty straight forward. Be sure to pay attention to which connector installs to its specific connection on the ECU side

Unfortunately I couldn't find this.

If anybody ever needs to replace their washer nozzle chain, it is incredibly easy. I couldn't find instructions anywhere and it took me 10 minutes. No tools are involved. Simply pull the old chain off and plug the new chain in.

The part number is 61667205117. Cost is around $150. BMW wanted about $250 in labor cost.
