Oh mate gutted for you, what an absolute nightmare. I am not sure if it will be written off but it depends on how much frame damage and rear boot floor damage etc.

Whats the Trade value of the car before the accident?

Hi,
Not sure on the trade value but probably less than I owe, only had her 6 months. Doesn't look great although no fluid loss, deployed head restraints but no airbag. underside at back not looking too good, gutted if its a write off as I took 6 months to find her, full valet yesterday!!!! Passenger went to hospital a while after crash with sore hip, I now have a headache but think it might be after calming down. The car in front was a Ford Ranger, looks like his tow bar went into my grille, think the radiator shifted a little. it drove home 6 miles or so and was ok, Police let me drive it even in this state although I did follow them which I suppose was a nice touch.

Sorry to see that, it's every M5 owners nightmare with so many brainless drivers around. An assessor will look at it but I can't see it as a write off with panel damage even with a bit of floor damage.A mate of mine pulled out floor damage in a jeep with chains, which was much worse than yours and perfect to drive afterwards.

ah crikey sorry to see this mate, i think they will right it off sadly, my Deer incident on the M80 was a headlight and bumper and that in total was £5,850 to fix.

If you have a sore head i'd go get it checked out mate

That's what's known in the trade as a light front and rear.If only it was one or the other then it wouldn't be so serious. If they do total it then you could 'buy' it from the insurance co. for a clearance price and use second hand panels to repair if you're that way inclined. After all it drives ok and a/bags are fine.

Sad to say it, I'll be very surprised if they don't write that off!

Hi Guys,
Firstly thanks for your reply's and kind thoughts
Car being picked up tomorrow, I fear I will never see her again which im gutted about, I absolutely loved it. Been looking at other cars just in case and nothing floats my boat. Not sure what to do if its a write off. Been given ok by the doctor so that's fine. Allegedly I am getting an M4/RS7 or XFR courtesy car!!! i'll believe it when it arrives although they said its coming from London tomorrow.
Thanks

Make sure you get any mods off the car that you may have added if you can.

Hi,
Just had the news i was dreading, cars a total loss. Not sure what my next move will be, totally devastated. They gave me a 2019 C63 AMG as a courtesy car and whatva disappointment that is, feels cheap in comparison, very noisy, crashy suspension even on 18" rims. Engine sounds good but not for me.

Let the search begin.
Re the C63 that’s disappointing to hear.
