Lock nut won't loosen

Evening all,

Went to the tyre shop to check my rear tyre which was loosing pressure.
Turns out it was a nail.
The tyre fitter tried to take the wheel off, but the lock nut wouldn't budge. He tried everything barring a long bar and jumping on it.
He was too scared to jump on it as he said the lock nut thread will break/split...
His advice was to take it to the dealers and get them to heat it up and remove it.

Any thoughts or ideas? I really don't want to waste my time at the dealers over such a simple 'tyre change' issues.

:

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated

Must be incredibly tight well past the 102lb/ft recommended. Try again but I would advise against an impact wrench as these should be removed by hand.A long bar with a person pushing the wheel nut in with a lump of wood at the same time someone else putting force on the long bar a bit at a time instead of all at once.
