Hey Vic, saw a tuned E63s from FS Tuning? run a 151.2 yesterday in the half, assume its just a basic tune on it since car is so new, just to give you an idea of how fast it should run.

Ill bet thats the Wesitec tuned car (white one)... I think with a tune only and 93 octane the Renntech car was pulling 10.7xx and 130.xx in the quarter so I would assume closer to mid 150's.

If its the same car, then yes its running a very brand new shelf tune that has had zero adjustments or modifications to work better with the M177 Twin Scrolls.

EDIT: spoke to the owner, best was 152.6 and he said that was great considering what the conditions and others were running in his segment. I think there is much left in the tune (I hope too).

EDIT2: he added some other times

Comparos for the curious:
- pure stage 1 FBO F10 M5.....154-155mph
- stock amg gts....147 mph
- turbo upgraded amg gts....153 mph
- turbo upgraded w212 amg...155 mph
- porsche 918....170mph...but wow what a car
- fbo w212 amg....148 mph
- huracan performante....157 mph

I did bed them at mile 11 so there should be no squeaks and thus far they are quiet.

Thats unfortunate about your car... Im sure you will see a few samples, used, pop up soon.
Good to know. Even if I can't find a car with CCB, I will probably go to the trouble of retrofitting as I never really trusted the steel brakes for repeated braking in cars this fast and heavy.

Nice to see you enjoying the monster. It is a pretty nice car to drive especially giving it is a 4 door sedan with north of 4400 pounds

I just bought a 2018 E63S for my wife. Hoping it will be delivered by next weekend or earlier.

I went with Diamond White with Macchiato Beige/Black interior. Was too hard to find a red one with light interior like I wanted. This will probably be easier to sell anyway.

Premium Package, Multicontour Seats and usual trimmings. Sadly no performance exhaust, but also no acoustic silence package so it should be good.

I'm clearly a Vic follower - the Jag, then the Turbo S and now the E63S.

Vic look at the BMW boys again ........seriously build the right car from the start.

BMW Ups the Ante With M5 Competition Package
Published: February 10, 2018 | By: American Luxury Staff
BMW might just steal a little limelight from the E63 S with the news of its new M5 Competition Package. The newest M5 is tuned to best the competing Mercedes-AMG model by stressing that simple number that has come to represent performance in a luxury sedan: the horsepower rating.

The already impressive 600-hp M5 will gain 25 extra horses with the Competition Package upgrade. The super-powered luxury sedan’s tune-up will make it more powerful than the Mercedes-AMG E63 S. However, it is possible that the vehicle will boast carbon brakes, which could discourage some purchasers.

There’s more to the story than a little more muscle and ceramic brakes, of course. BMW has quasi-leaked a few more informational tidbits about the package, which was announced last September. New details about the model variation include notable upgrades, including updated dynamics and new wheels, and a bevy of package-specific cosmetic flourishes. BMW will tell all, though, when the car is unveiled in Geneva next month.

Production on BMW’s M5 Competition Package will begin in April at the automaker’s Dingolfing plant.OTE=Vic55;22705967]Haaa congrats.... I hadnt driven mine in a week or so and took it yesterday; what a machine in the straights but in those turns such grip and confidence.[/QUOTE]

Yeah I read about that, why make the CS so close to the release of the new iteration. I have no doubts the car will compete but I have my car now (since Nov) and will have an M5 too but might wait a few since I have two sedans.

Do let me know if you're looking to sell the ED1. None left here for sale in the midwest and those still available are going for over sticker....

Are there any wagons being kept in stock anywhere? That would be another alternative.

The wagon depreciates like a rock compared to the sedan. If you really want a wagon, wait a year or two and get one at 40% off MSRP for a low-mileage one.

The color is sicker than Frozen Black. Just got a Velar 1st edition in silver and I plan on doing a XPEL matte wrap on the car for protection and to give it a matte grey paint similar to Alanite Grey Magno. Not stripes on my RR though!

I passed on a 1st edition GT-S back in 16 and those were going at sticker or below but the E63s is a whole another ball game.

Plus one of my clients is going through a divorce and offered me his 458 Italia with every option checked off ($290k MSRP) w/ 6,000 miles on it for $175k.

Wish I could make the numbers work. Can't go more than $125-$130ish for the time being.

Thanks Dave!!! I love this ride.

I have a shelf ECU tune on it and there is a good change in power and tq thru the mid ranges. I have not done a dyno it (after) but will take the car in a few weeks for a flash to stock, dyno, then flash to tune and re dyno.

My car dynod stock at 560/590.

Have you tried it at the extremes, +65 as well as -65? I wonder how the air suspension handles that? Somehow I can't see you going +65, but have you tried -65? I'd think the feel of the car would deteriorate at either extreme.
