How about the new Ferrari Portofino?
It looks a lot like the Jag F Type R from the side to me but it's clearly a superior car. I will have to see one in person and drive it before I plop down any money for it. I actually like the front but others hate it. The fast back is also pretty attractive too.

I don't know, if I would to get a current Ferrari, it will at least be a 488. This and the California is just meh to me.
Not saying they are not good cars, but same in Porsche, Cayman is a good car but to me the quintessential Porsche is the 911. |

With top closed it looks very Mini F12'ish from the side and definitely not a soft top F Type. But that's with the top closed. I think it could be very good car depending on the price point.

You've owned plenty of them you ever feel like the front engine cars are the ba$tards of the group? Everyone I know with 488s/458s etc. all snub their noses at the California, FF, etc.

I do not. But I do feel the FF was a bit of a fail from a value perspective as one of the softest F cars out there. The California's have always intrigued me but I just never pulled the trigger; but this car here could be the real deal.
