Competition Steering Upgrade?

I posted this in the m6 section, figured i'd get more traction here.


My Car needs the steering rack replaced. I realized that the Competition models have a different rack with noticeable differences in steering feel and control. Both have different part numbers, but I'm pretty sure its a bolt off/bolt on swap.

My major concern is functionality. Has anyone successfully done this? will it require coding? or any software upgrades? any feedback would be help.

I have not done the swap but I would pretty much guarantee some coding is needed. I don't see any reason why you couldn't swap the "hard parts" and try changing the code.
