Is this normal? Shifter cracked

Mine is just like that, and i just saw this one on eBay with the same problem.

is that normal? and you do guys know where can i get a new one(part number)?

Super common! mine had it and i found a brand new one on ebay for $105.00. The part that is scratched is a sticker. You have to buy the whole thing which is the sticker and the silver shifter part. Simply take a tiny flat head and wedge the sticker out and then you will see a torx screx underneath it, unscrew that and the silver shifter part comes off. The new pieces will come with the new shifter part and a new sticker. Literally a 5 minute job. Just call and ask BMW for the part # then shop online and get it for half the cost

I had this on mine from the previous owner. I had on hand a headlight restore kit from Meguiars that has sandpaper and plastix polish. I used the same process on the shifter as the headlights and it worked fairly well to get out all the cracks.
