Just installed the front Powerflex Upper Thrust Arm Inner Bushings!

I removed the worthless "DINAN Tension Strut Ball Joint Kit" which made crazy crackling noise on slow turns and just installed the street version Powerflex bushings with the offset version ....HUGE difference in handling compared to oem and Dinan....car feels planted on turns finally...highly recommended

Nice! Didn't even know Powerflex made bushings for our cars yet. Currently having the Dinan balls installed so if they don't work out I'll know where to go. Thanks!

Had mechanic do it but you need the tools and skills to press the oem bushings out... maybe 4hrs work....plus alignment

Very very interesting. I have the Dinan Monoballs installed and they are fantastic. No problems whatsoever. I have about 7-8k miles on them now. The steering was definitely improved with them.

I guess the Dinans were defective ...loud noises and zero improvement....Race might be too stiff and prone to noises too so street is a major improvement....finally feel safe going 180+ MPH on the highway

Indeed, we don't want any uncertainty whilst traveling at 180mph+ like M5 drivers should be doing.

correct handling confidence is key at that speed....any other tips to firm up the suspension is welcomed;

so far;

- new front oem bmw arms @ 50k miles
- Powerflex street thrust bushing
- Dinan front/rear sway bars
- AC schnitzer lowering springs
- Performance spec alignment
- what else?

Will power flex street thrust bushings make noticble difference over oem?

Performance spec alignment ? What changes compared to standard wheel alignment

Thanks

Yes powerflex bushings make big difference and it also increases positive caster in alignment......performance alignment meaning increasing negative camber etc

Unfortunately street version isn’t available anymore in UK..
According to Powerflex they found them lacking over Oem hence combined both street and race into one .

Not sure how much truth in above as was contemplating replacing mine to street version but due to them being discontinued very cautious as race might be too harsh for normal street use..

Any advise appreciated
