Go for a walk.

With more things being allowed in the lockdown we're all going for a nice long walk in the Surrey Hills, some of you may want to also and give the M5's a break from being cleaned and polished to an inch within their lives

We live in rural Somerset and are surrounded by fields and woods, my life has actually improved since lock down. Very fortunate.

The top of the drive is a footpath and we can literally walk for miles from home without seeing anyone and have done most days.

The only noise we hear are lambs and birds

Been told not to go into the office until at least January 2021 so well happy with that

Jan '21?? Also aren't you afraid of travellers being in such a rural area without neighbours.

I will be doing alot more walking, as I lost my license this morning - probably for about 2-4 months - awaiting the verdict in the post. ban is effective from the 21st May.
4000 SEK fine. 152kmh, clear stretch of road no trafik. Fracking hooters.

Ooops sorry to hear that, 152kmh isnt that fast really. In the UK 94mph would be a fine but not a ban

Yes sorry to hear that.

I got caught ‘speeding’ in the UK seconds after pulling away from a set of traffic lights. It was a 30 zone and with the usual stab of the throttle, before I was paying attention I was doing ‘38’ or something like that. The camera car was about half a mile away and crudely hidden behind bushes to cover the obligatory shiny chevrons.

It was a ‘fair cop’ but for a long time I fell out of love with the car, realising that it goes from speed limit to lose licence so fast it spoils the fun a bit. My insurance is really cheap but it will jump to nightmare cost with any significant points.

Thanks!
It is a little sad but I keep convincing myself its a screwed up year with no fun events, having said that I have my Racing License Course in the end of August - so I hope I get it back by then (if I need it).

Thanks!
You know I didnt even see the white unmarked van, and usually I am really good at spotting them - not this time.
I think they are making a point over here that just because theres less trafik on the roads doesnt mean you can speed, they were very active last week.

Thanks Ian.
Its a bitter pill, but I am glad we dont have the points system over here...although the more relaxed laws on highway speeds wouldnt go amiss in Sweden.
I got 48hrs before the ban so my time runs out tomorrow morning 0851.
So I drove in today at what seemed like snail pace - and will ready the car for a stint out of trafick.
