This Knob Creek Single Barrel is beginning to grow on me. I wasn't thrilled at first, but I'm developing a taste for it. It might even move me into smokier Scotches.

Winner! I looked at a local pub that had a Scotch club, but they wanted $100 for the right to buy a glass an some guy to tell me why I should or shouldn't like it. FTHAT!!! I can just start at the top of the list and move my way down for that price.

Knob Creek Single Barrel and Aberlour A'bunadh have one thing in common, you need to watch your pours. Three fingers of either pack a more powerful punch than the same pour of say, Macallan 12 or other daily drink.

Man - you guys and your fancy drinks. 1/2 this stuff I never heard of...probably because it's too rich for my blood.
I keep it simple. This was my choice the other night. Actually prefer the rye version of this...sometimes need to go old school. As the least impressive section of what I have, consists of more staple drinks than anything. Walker Black/Red, Beam, Jack, single barrel Jack, Crown, Seagram's 7 and VO, Woodford and Maker's top my shelf. Simple...

Many items on my bar I get for my friends that come over. Maker's and Beam fall in that list. for me, Beam is good for a ham glaze - and it pretty much ends there.

Polished off the Knob Creek tonight. Next up, Macallan 12. I'll buy the Knob Creek again for sure.
