I have just got my four channel data logger home, and have ordered some 3 meter K type thermocouples so when I fit my Ramair filter as fitted in this thread with the filter housing in place but top removed, I intended to do one side at a time and monitor both filters (Ramair and OEM) inlet and post filter temps together so any differences can easly be seen and keep the exact same test perameters to prove or otherise any temp diffencials evident between the two systems.

Some emperical data will follow.

I will post the logs but nothing evident after long high speed runs and sitting in traffic etc on warm days. I'll have my JB4 fitted next week so can log IAT's as well.

TheHouseWon Sorry guys, couldn't log any data. I had to dump my M5 as fast as I could. She was drinking oil at a rate of every fuel up. It was a 2013 model with 21k miles and warranty would run out next year, I didn't want to take a chance. Plus, the new M5 releasing and warranty running out = terrible trade-in value. I might get the next gen M5 to replace my X5M.

Here's what the airboxes looks like when restored to stock. Looks OEM to me and the dealer didn't even care.

I'm enjoying this F10 M5 replacement as a DD for now. When the new M5 comes, the GTS will be a weekend car.

Yep, Pcars are a totally different kettle of fish. A real scapel compared with the train of the M5.

I would have like to keep my GT3 but I will have one in my garage as a sunday car, just didn't work as a daily drive, although I did do OK for 4 years

Selling my pair of RAMAIR 80mm - 150mm base. No silicone couplings, $60 shipped in the U.S. You can get a pair of 80mm silicone couplings for $15/pair on eBay. My loss is your gain.

Gonna miss you on these boards. Maybe I'll downgrade to a GT3 one day, too, and see you on the other side

Selling any CF parts?

I still have an X5M, so I'm on this forum. LOL. Funny enough, the RW diffuser fits so tight I gave up trying to remove it. The spoiler and lip were mounted used 3M VHB, which are stronger than rivets so it was impossible to remove them. So I asked the dealer to give me more for the trade instead.

If you need anything from RW Carbon, call Matt and tell him you're Jimmy's friend from the forum. He'll give you my hookup pricing.

Anyone know where I can buy these Ram Air filters and have them delivered to Canada?

Also how difficult is it to swap these RAm Air filters with the filters that come stock on the BMS intake?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/RAMAIR-UNIVE...xWGuww&vxp=mtr

Just measure the neck of the BMS intake, if it's 80mm (3.15") then it will fit.

I'm selling my pair for $60 shipped. However, you'll need to re-use the couplings and clamps from the BMS intake kit.

No, sorry, the BMS intake pipes are 90mm O/D and filters are 90mm I/D through out where the Ramairs are 80mm I/D. I know because I have both.

You could get a 90mm- 80mm silicone hose reducer and a short lenght of 90mm allow pipe.

This is a nice setup and not difficult at all to do. The car does sound different at above certain revs, i haven't been able to really go at it with the kids and wife in the car. Here's a few photos. I have the PVC arriving this week and will attempt to do the scoops, down the line might try the aluminium ones i have seen others here do.
