My M5 brake pedal makes noise during the initial press, every time. it's not a squeal, it's more of a crunching noise? or sort of like a grinding noise?

Anyone else have this issue? what is the cause and any simple fix?

No Mate, when in the garage before first start-up I always pump the brake peddle a few times to release the stuck brakes after washing, it never makes any noises (thats without the engine running) that I can hear.
Could be a bearing on the support shaft for the peddle, or may need lubrication.

Yeah it's wired, almost like its "crunching" I can feel it in my foot and hear it. It's not the rotors or pads, they work fine and are noiseless - it's just the brake pedal inside the car. Only the initial press and after 1/2 an inch of pressing down it goes away for the remaining length of travel.

Good thing is it can be replicated everytime for the dealer.

Maybe it just needs to be lubed up.
