Autowatch Ghost Immobiliser
Evening all,
Hope everyone is well during lockdown part 2.0! Any of u guys have the Autowatch Ghost Immobiliser installed? Thoughts? After some research and talking to a few ppls, it seem like a no-brainer. Barring the added 10sec delay on start up, it seem like a worthy investment especially after my area is going/gone to shit with dirty lil thieves takes cars on a daily basis. Also any ideas on if this affects the warranty? Plus how does the insurance companies rate these? Should I be expect some discounts or am I dreaming? Thanks in advance as always |

I had one of the 1st that were released onto the market a few years ago, highly recommend it, its worth the few pounds for the app so as to enable bluetooth connection. I did experience some connectivity issues when I had it removed and then refitted to a new car, but this was due crap installation and quickly rectified by Autowatch who sent out an engineer.
All in all worth the £400, but make sure you go with a good installer |

In my opinion any added security feature is a plus one for peace of mind, especially if you park your car in a driveway or on the street. I booked the installation online and autowatch sent their engineer at my place. Couldn't be more happy with result. Recommended. |

Personally, I have considered this and decided against it for a couple of reasons. Pretty sure it will invalidate your warranty if you have it installed - have heard of people having problems specifically with ghost installs and warranty claims. Secondly, I really dont want thieves coming back to my house and breaking in to get the code off me at knife point...

on my 3rd ghost now and never had any issues with warranty, just disable when the car goes in for work.
the principles no different to having a dash cam / tracker fitted But yes agree on the comment about knifepoint though |

I don't blame you for being cautious but I find your imagination quite exaggerated |
