Interior Lighting Option in Menu - BLOCKED
So I was cruising in my car last night and noticed my interior (ambient) lighting was off. The car doors under the trim (usually orange) was off. That was weird. So I went into my menu settings, and saw two GREYED out options (interior lighting and exterior lighting)
My car has been coded by Adrian, (I already emailed him), but I was hoping someone would shed some light on this. Take a look. I cannot select interior lighting or Exterior lighting. The cursor jumps over it to Pathway lighting and Bang & Olufsen. |

I think I may have found the problem.
1) Definitely confirmed that lighting under door trim is simply not coming on like before. I have white interior so it really shines. Definitely Off. 2) All buttons are lit up (AC, controls, radio, steering wheel, ETC) everything turns on bright orange EXCEPT the buttons surrounding the shift lever. Meaning the Suspension, steering, transmission buttons simply do not go bright orange. THE PARKing brake is also off. 3) All power window buttons are off, including back seat buttons for windows are definitely off. 4) INTERESTING: if I switch the headlight switch from OFF to Auto, or to on, i can vaguely see that the rear seat trim lighting barely tries to come on. Meaning that it flickers! At this point, im guessing FUSE. Where would I be able to find this fuse? Trunk? Glovebox? Please help. What fuse controls the ambient lighting? I have found several fuse cards online but the legend is non existant. Just icons. please help. |

So my methanol injection installer tapped into the power wire that powers either the Meth Inj. Controller. We did not notice, but it does affect the interior lighting. Hopefully I will get this fixed today and report back. Sorry for answering my own issues, but, i guess this can be used as a resource for others - so that the same mistake is not made.

Adjustable interior lighting is only available on the 2014+ (LCI) models and up.
2013 models are stuck with just the orange-red color light and no adjustable dimming. |

It seems the best option is to "flash" the fem_body module (which controls the interior lighting) back to stock with the appropriate istep version, and then to recode the module with whatever you had done.
Something that was previously coded might have conflicted with something else in the same or another module. So that's the first step before spending any money on physical parts. http://www.bmwesys.com/guides/E-Sys%...CU%20Guide.pdf |

Oops. I've been coding a lot of 4's lately. You'd suggest to reflash FRM, yeah?
