I was told since I used a brand new TMS module, it needs to be programmed and initialized and I won't be able to do it through ESYS. Is that true?
Does anyone know anybody who can do it remotely?

Programming = Flashing = Updating ECU firmware/ software
Coding/Encoding = configuring ECU settings or parameters.

ISTA-P or ISTA+ will usually only allow the use of new ECU's. ISTA+ is used for diagnostics and for procedures (eg, initializing light modules). Both can program all series (except E-series & ISTA+) as well as code factory values.

E-sys can program, code factory values, and individually FDL ECU's.

Programming requires a PSU (not just battery tender) and there are risks involved. As such, not many offer it as a remote service.

I recently had my all of the electronic modules updated to the latest versions at my dealership. It of course erased all of my previous coding. I went back in tonight to re-do some things, and found that I was getting error messages when attempting to 'Read' certain modules: HU_NBT, CAS, HKFM. Primarily the 2 that I was unable to code that I used to really like were 1) Enable keyfob mirrors/windows/sunroof open & close, 2) Trunk close with keyfob.

Another weird thing I noticed is that the HU_NBT is now displaying as HU_NBT_LS.

Any ideas?

If you get "not found [C012]" error, when "Reading Coding Data," it is time to update Psdzdata. PM Sent.

I have heard of HKFM_LS, but not HU_NBT_LS.

The older, like mine, have the HU_CIC.

In order to view the attachment correctly, delete ".pdf" from the end.

I have a 2011 F10 535i, CIC unit. I wonder if I can code this to playback videos using the USB in the glove box or center console.
Enable video playback via USB Port and with various video formats
HU_CIC HU_NBT 3000 ENT_CODEC_VCD => aktiv

Video playback requires NBT or newer.
