M6 343M Wheels on F10 M5
From the brief research i did these should fit just fine on F10 M5.. i wanted to see what your thoughts are on this?
I have M5 343M's with 15mm spacers all around and fit perfect no rubbing on CP model.. A buddy of mine picked up a base model and needs to get rid of the 19's so i figured M6 343's will work as well and eliminate the need to run any spacer in rear. M5 343M (my set up) 20x9 +32 (effective +17) 20x10 +34(effective +19) M6 343M 20x9.5 +31 20x10.5+19 Basically M6 wheel is going to be 6mm wider on both sides right off the bat in comparison to M5.. inside there is plenty of clearance so nothing to worry about there.. after calculating to attain same fitment as on my M5 with spacers.. if he runs M6 wheels he will need estimated 8mm spacer up front and no spacer in rear.. in rear it will sit about 6mm farther out than my current set up.. which should still clear with no rubbing as he will have a 295 on 10.5 and not on a 10.. i personally don't like how 295 sits on 10 as it PSS bulge way too much on the sidewall.. so i feel they will sit better on 10.5.. just my opinion.. any thoughts? we fitted them last week.. m6 wheels look just fine.. its pretty aggressive and zero rubbing.. no spacers required up front.. since his is not CP it would look even better if it was half inch or 1" lower as it would add a smidge of negative camber..
to answer ///Mpower/// on 343M for M5 i run 15MM MS spacers all around.. fits like a glove and looks very stanced on CP model. |

And overall for both 10" and 10.5" rims, the total width of wheel is 295 mm (295/30/20) or 305 mm (305/30/20) since the tire is wider than both rims...

M6 wheel in the front is sunken inward about 8mm or less than M5 343M with 15mm spacer.. In either case the difference when running M6 wheels versus M5 wheels with 15mm spacer is negligible.. The biggest difference of course is a car with CP and one without it.. as that little extra lowering definitely fill ups the fender gap nicely.. Mine is the white one on top and below is the car we put M6 343M's on.. |

https://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp going from 10" wide rime ET 34 mm with tire size 295/30/20 to 10'5" rim ET 19 mm with the same tire size... Fenders clearance: Package 2 will stick out 15 mm (0.6'') farther. Acceptable for most cars.

Since '13 and '16 non-CP are the same, the set up on '13 would look the same as the one we mounted on my friends '16 last week.
if you already have M6 343M's you might as well go for it.. not worth buying M5 343M's as they aren't cheap.. i personally like how 343M's sit on CP model due to lower ride height.. For reference here is what his '16 non-CP looks like on M6 343M with factory PSS.. Last edited by hybrid_eg; 02-17-2016 at 04:35 PM.. |

I do not use the 315s for lateral performance. Just straight line traction. I use my 295s for lateral performance. Why I have two rear wheel options.

quick update.. we may lower the non-cp model with H&R which should bring it to the same height as CP model so we will see how it sits with these M6 343M's.
I think it should look much nicer as the wheel gap will be eliminated yet it will still sit "aggressively stanced". |

Here is an update.. but no pics yet..
Yes we did drop the car with KW sleeves, it looks amazing.. lower than CP in the front and looks sexy.. rear is slightly lower than CP model.. zero rubbing in rear.. and if you read above its essentially 6MM more outward than my CP M5 set up with 15mm spacer. Now since the car had been dropped, front will require a small spacer since it appears sunken a bit.. something between 5 and 8mm spacer will do. IshR i would not run 305 on 343's that's pushing it for M5 body.. |

Yes you can run 265/305 on M6 343M... it's my current setup, but I believe for M5 it's too much. Compare to M5 343M with 295 tire, it stands 20 mm out (rear)

I was thinking that an interesting idea would be to run the stock M5 rears up front and the M6 rears at the back giving you 20x10 at the front and 20x10.5 at the rear.
Good for 295/30 and 305/30 which would be good for reducing understeer while not on power and still provide a wider rear for getting the power down. Unsure if the rear 20x10 will fit over the front brakes though, or if you'd need to go down to a 285 to avoid rubbing at full lock? |

10-15mm bolt on spacer? Might work better on an M6 than an M5 if there is more room at the front? I've seen people running 10mm spacers on stock wheels on an M5 and M6 and still have plenty of room. Although that was why I suggested 285's. Heck for the concept of it you could just remount stock 265's on the M5 rear wheels and put them on at the front to see how it works and go with different tyres after that!
