Frontal Collision Camera is Blocked

Anyone seen this message, possibly from the sun? I have gotten it a few times lately and wondering if it is a common problem or if I have something failing...

Comes on in extreme rain and fog too... Make sure there's no bug splat/bird shit on the sensor (camera is on the windowshield side of rear view mirror)

Yup, seen it a few times. It eventually goes away...

I'm in Arizona... and when I am driving into the direction of the bright evening sun... blinds the camera and says it is blocked. As soon as I turn away from the sun, the alert goes away.
