Driving and finding the limit of the f10 m5?

Does anyone else find driving this car hard to find the limit?
Other cars i dont have this issue, although the m5 f10 has so much torque
I find the chassis as its so insulated from sound its hard to to feel what its doing compared to other cars eg the e60 which i still drive
Im sure the f10 sticks to the road better but struggle to push as much speed through the same corner, i dont feel as confidebt.

Anyone else had this or any tips?

The more you "push it" the better feel you'll get for limits and where the boundaries are. It takes a little time especially better understanding how to get the power to the ground, more so from a dig.

Good luck.

Turn DSC off and give her a whirl... the limits show up quick!

I drive dsc off on m mode

I think perhaps im intimated by the amount of torque it has

Only done 8000km on it, i find it takes me around 15-20k to get to know a car

I would try MDM and then proceed to DSC off.

With the majority of drivers, the limits of the driver will be reached before the limits of the M5.

Unless you are a professional driver, I doubt you will find the limits.

If you have the chance, take it to a track.
After a few lap sessions you will know your limits and the cars limits.
You will probably find quickly that the car has a lot more potential than your comfort level.

I’m running everything stock. I was driving 5th gen z/28 before, so m5 compare to z/28 is not sturdy

The thing is with an M5 F10 is that there is virtually NO reasonable max limit on these cars until some moron pulls out on you.Check out the German autobahn totalled blue M5 going at 185+ avoiding someone coming out of a slip road, the occupants alive with their dog while the moron who pulled out on them ran away.

As I read the OP thread I was going to suggest a low key track day somewhere as well. I had been driving my e39 M5 for years and knew the limits per se, but then I took it to the track. Now I really know what the limits are with my current set up and tire choice. I can take corners at a much faster pace now and with confidence.
