Black Grilles all round on MCB.
Hope this works, technio thickie at work here. Really pleased with the look so far, the carbon rear spoiler will finish the look for me. Then all thats needed is the Eisenmann race, or equivalent, but im a mean old begger, and my purse strings are tightly shut atm, regards, SIMON.

Removed the side vent grilles, and took the chrome surround off, then took it to local bodyshop, for a spot of painting. Perfect finish, and a whole lot cheaper, than buying the full grille.

Looks stunning Simon, exactly the same as mine.
So are you enjoying it now you can give it hell? I have had my service, love the car and it is an animal, but it requires maximum respect, already had it sideways a few times (not necessarily out of choice) In terms of exhaust, I have contacted a guy over on Evotechnik called Jason from BW chip tuning. He is meant to be a genius in terms of tuning and does loads of BMW's. anyway he has developed a map for the car £800 if your a evo technik member. He is also developing cat less downpipes, we both know from our experience with the RS that this is a great way of increasing the exhaust note, plus he would have the ability to turn the ECU off. I will keep you posted but my gut tells me this is the way to go. Car looks beautiful |

Hi jbomb,
I really am loving the car now. After its first service, ive seen a few spirited drives, and as you say, this beastie deserves maximum respect, and concentration. A couple of times, ive got home, got out the car, looked at it, and thought Holy sh-- !, with a capital F, as it feels that strong in a straight line. I think i mentioned on another thread, that this car feels every bit as strong as my MY10 GT-R, and possibly even stronger, from a roll. I know the GT-R would have it off the line, but after that it would be very, very close. But its the overall package with the M5, the quality, the performance and the usability. Sounds interesting about your man, please keep us informed. I think i will have a bash with the carbon spoiler, when ive saved up enough, now wheres that lump hammer ?. Thanks to the other chaps, for the kind replies, regards, SIMON. |

looks great - going to get mine done soon (waiting to get a black Set of LCI grills) but I think you need to do the door handles also
Neil.

Yes, been debating that one. Not sure whether to do them body colour, black, or leave them be. I know its very easy to remove the door handles themselves, but im not sure if the chrome strips, are as easy to remove.

If you want body colour, then that's more involved. Leaving them as the only chrome on the car looks unfinished IMO. Congrats on the car! MCB with black accents is the best looking M5 out there
