Thought maybe better to resurrect this thread rather than start a new one. Apologies if that's poor etiquette I am a soon to be F10 M5 owner and also looking for a set of replacement black or carbon tips for the exhaust to complete the chrome delete on the car. If anyone has some for sale, please contact me to discuss further. Thanks.

They look surprisingly nice for something from Alibaba. How do they fit on? Is it just a friction fit?

Thank you. The exhaust tips (and my key) are the only bits of my car that look at all worn and I doubt that cleaning them will make them look very shiny again.

If you buy from Kemir Carbon they know exactly the size the M5 requires.

I know you wont buy any as they are too flashy for your taste

Looking at your exhaust ends you'd be better of having the securing bolts at the top then dripping water wouldn't make them so rusty and they may be difficult to remove should the need arise.A good dose of wd40 now well soaked in should do the trick.

That's not correct.
The diameter is 71mm on each of the bare exhaust outlet pipes coming from the car, therefore you will need the inlet entry on your exhaust tips of around 74mm for a cosy fit for them to go over the car pipe and slide them back to your desired position.
You can use exhaust sealer putty if the tip inlets are slightly bigger.
