Damn. 700 HP under 70k? That is freaking amazing. However, I am not a fan of the back of the car. I would dub it a poor-man's M5. Sure it has more HP, It has a cheaper interior.

Its laughable that this Fatcat has over double the power of a Subaru and yet still gets creamed by it. Its testament to its outdated engineering and highly inferior dynamics from the so called "Street and Racing Technology". I want to like this SRT but apart from its abysmal handling it also looks exactly like a 2015 Dodge Dart.

Urban, thanks for the post and the video. Carlos is the man!
Overall, I am impressed with the new Charger Hellcat. It truly has that muscle car DNA but with 4 doors so Carlos hits the nail on the head when he talks about hiding underneath a veil to hide the cars true performance. My mom wouldn't be able to tell the new Hellcat is anything more special than a standard 2015 Dodge Charger, which is a good thing for that sleeper status. I don't know if any one noticed the weight and the weight distribution of the Charger Hellcat. It's still far from being anything like a true Sports Sedan. Instead I think the Charger Hellcat is in it's own category unoffically dubbed the "Muscle Car Sedan," where as the new 2015 CTS-V fits perfectly in the "Sports Sedan" category right along the M5, E63 AMG, and RS7. With that said, stock for stock, I know that a Comp Pack M5 will lose to the Hellcat in a straightline rolling racing. However, I also know that a modified M5 could beat a stock Hellcat no problem, but a modified Hellcat will probably be making north of 800hp no problem either. So it's all subjective. The Hellcat's straightline performance is impressive, but let's see where we are in 5 years when the next M5 is 600lbs lighter than the Charger Hellcat.

Exactly, whoever thinks this thing is supposed to be a "twisty" machine needs their head checked. The car serves its purpose and it does it well- american muscle in a straight line. Its not terrible on a track but not sure if anyone would entertain a thought LOL.

The majority of racing around the world involves going around corners, the majority of streets also have corners and bends. Its terrible for a car to have over 700hp and still get thrashed by 300 and 400hp cars. |

Although that Subaru shames a lot of cars from more reputable brands than Dodge.

Yeah I was more interested in the same time as the M4 with the same driver... The RC-F is a fat pig but- I saw one the other day on the 55 and it looked, dare I say, pretty good!!

Inside and outside, I actually like the aesthetics too, especially the seats. Performance-wise, outside the hands of Randy Pobst, it underwhelms as per the usual Lexus F models. With all of the tech in which Toyota has access, why don't they throw a shot across-the-bow of the Germans...? |

Only the elderly IS-F, which was OK for its time. Haven't seen any new ones yet - being only 45 mins North it's amazing how much of an improved car culture/ecosystem you have over SD county.
