Appreciate it! I was very satisfied with the looks of the FI compared to the CH-R. Both look great, but the FI looks perfect on this chassis. I had toyed around with the wingless look for a while now. I think I've gone wingless on every BMW I've ever owned. It always seems to make the car look lower to the ground and slightly wider.

None at the current time. Power wise I'm right at the maximum of what OEM clutches will handle, and with all the terrible reviews of the upgraded clutch options that are currently available, I don't plan on adding any more power. As far as looks are concerned, nothing there either for the time being.

I plan on driving the car and enjoying it on nice weekends and using the F80 M3 for daily use.

Although I will admit, I've been toying around the idea more and more of selling the F10 M5 and getting a R35 GTR, but still a significant difference in money. I'm seemingly never satisfied -- the story of my automotive life. I've learned I love the journey of the build almost more than the finished product. When it's done I get bored quickly.

How is the stage 1 BM3 tune with the catless downpipes? I was planning to go that route but don’t see anything really anywhere if stage 1 will keep a check engine light off.

Really don’t want to go stage 2 just for no check engine light

Never been in a GTR but I've read some have said the suspension is harsh.

I absolutely love it. The sound is incredible, and even though there is a ton more power on tap, I don't feel like I'm running on that fine line of having my OEM clutches slip. Stage 1 is already a significant increase over stock, and I'm sure the downpipes and intake alone add a bit more power on their own.

And yes, there is a separate box you can check for whether or not you're running OEM or catless downpipes. So you can run stage 1 and catless downpipes with no check engine light. Theoretically you can run their stage 0 tune which is like stock, and still run catless downpipes with no check engine light as long as you have the box checked before flashing.

I HIGHLY recommend. Turned mine into a completely different animal.

I haven't either, but I'm very curious. I'm sure it would be night and day in a ton of ways compared to the M5. I typically regret selling a car shortly after, so I'll probably just hold onto it and start saving for something else independently.

Really appreciate the reply. Been following the thread for a while and finally got an M5 a month ago. There isn’t really much info out there for stage 1 with catless. Makes it seem like you have to do stage 2. Look forward to your next update

IMO the R35 GTR is very one dimensional - super quick and very capable of getting the power to the ground, but IMO that's all it does well and for my needs at least it wouldn't warrant a place in the garage (or if it did, it wouldn't stay there for long).
