2014 M5 6 speed price check

I am looking to pull the trigger on a 2014 m5 6 speed manual with 147,000km (91341.56 Miles). The car is listed at 38,000.00 CAD (28559.94 USD) and come fully loaded with the exception of the night vision option, the bang and olufsen sound system and m performance upgrade (exhaust, ceramic brakes etc.). The car is black on red interior and is flawless cosmetically inside and out. I had BMW do a safety inspection and the results were i just needed to change the front brake pads and rotors (2500 cad). In your opinion do you think this would be a good buy? do the f10 go beyond 200,000.00 kms or do they start to clunk out? would the fact that it is the last year for manual m5s help hold its resale value in the next few years? or should i just stay away? having a hard time pulling the trigger due to maintenance concerns. Any insight will help. Thank you.

Well 6mt is pretty rare. Here is a thread that M5 owners are talking about in terms of the 6mt: https://f10.m5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1499122

Thanks for the link! what do you think about the mileage being so high? i was thinking for someone to have put that much mileage on the car in four years he/she would've had to put most the mileage on the highway and for someone to spec it the way they did it would've had to of been an enthusiast (long commutes and still choosing to go with the 6mt instead of the dct). is there there anything in particular that i should keep an eye out for?

Yeah could be commuter which isn't bad. Its sometimes worst finding a 4 year old car with only 15k miles because its hardly ran which has its own set of issues.

I personally dont have an M5 but my suggestions would be to check to make sure all the services are done and ON TIME. Best of luck! Sweet find

Let's put it this way, if they were both the same cost: I'd be more comfortable buying a high mileage 6-Spd compared to a lower mileage DCT.

As far as pricing goes, this is a good deal for what it is.

Thanks for the insight guys, i went ahead and pulled the trigger yesterday!! They offered third party power-train warranty for 4 years from a company called AutoXtra. I should be picking up the vehicle by Friday next week. I've had an e46 6mt and currently driving e90 sedan 6mt, super excited to pick up the f10 m5!

If you don't mind me asking, how much was the warranty? I'm really interested in getting an M5 in the fall but I want to get one with a warranty (especially for these kind of cars, I have one for my F10 currently too).

Also, Congratz!

It was about 4k Canadian. i was looking around for third party warranty providers and read some horror stories (Lubrico). According to the service manager AutoXtra are pretty decent and don't deny every claim and thank you!
