Port WMI

I wanted to see if anyone is running water meth injection on the manifold side instead of charge pipe before the intercooler. I noticed a number of people are running at the CAI - unsure if that is due to simplicity, effectiveness or other reasons.

I am planning to running the snow setup and considering pluming the nozzles on the intake manifold instead of the CAI. Definitely do not want to reinvent the wheel so I thought i reach out to the community for feedback.

Any thoughts?

Sales@RKautowerks has a billet port injection manifold that i think was designed for this very purpose. I personally don't have it but my understanding is that oem manifolds are prone to failure under certain conditions.

It's an engine out job to remove the inlet manifolds. Most upgrade charge coolers as the aftermarket ones have built in WMI ports in the bottom of them.

Yeah great point o the manifold job and the charge cooler approach looks very clean plus if you are doing it right you get rid of the weak charge pipes.

Forgot to mention that I already have the motor out. It is one of those things to-do-while-the engine-is-out situation.

i did noticed that billet manifold. I emailed them awhile back to see if the ports are for fuel injectors or water meth injectors but they never reply back. The plastic stock intake manifolds are not ideal thus wanted to see if anyone have tried mounting water meth nozzles on them.
