Great to see Allmotor... will follow with interest.

Will you limit torque and push HP/rev's to help with traction?

When I broke diff internals I think it was due to the shock from breaking a half shaft.
Plan is for axles, driveshaft and a billet diff mount. If that holds can consider an 18" wheel and brake solution.

Very excited you are pushing the BMW platform in the right way! And not another one of these *yawns* JB4 my car makes XXX crank HP cars and coffee guys

Haven't decided on the turbos. Going to a complete aftermarket means external WG and also means positive-pressure controlled WG's... our boost solenoids control via vacuum. It can be done but more work
Yeah if you've already got it out of the car thats a big savings on someone whose gonna charge you 10-20hrs of labor.

And yes, GTR motors are about 4k on the low end to 6.5k on the high end for a short block, plus another 4-6k in headwork [ETS heads were like 6500 with the new S3 cams]. So 10-12k is very reasonable

You'd be low 9s all day if you got 18s on it... Tire/Wheel combo to me is the major limiting factor with these newer BMW platforms.

That and the launch/tuning seems to be inferior to lots of other platforms.

If you've got the ability to run 18'' slicks which for my GTR radials were cutting 1.6s with NT05Rs and bad prep and 9.18 in the 1/4, you should get into the 8s all day. Or at least be trapping near 160 with a bad 60ft.

If you were running r888s then yes. They are EXTREMELY HARD on the drivetrain components which I learned from communicating with John Shepard with my Shep 2.5 trans when I had a Gt800 turbo kit on my GTR..

They would shock the transmission because the insanely stiff sidewalls, and they really need to be very well heated up to be effective and start to have even a little give.

So if lots of you guys are throwing those on, which I've seen on here, I'm sure it was a big contributing factor.

So the core is now taken apart - it was a damaged core (bent rods), but block etc. is fine. I will add pictures when I receive them.

Motor is being built by SDAutoTech - this is the shop opened by Steve Dinan after he sold/left Dinan Engineering. Motor will have lightweight/forged CP-Carillo Pistons/Rods. All bearings have been Calico coated. On the top-end, there will be headwork and cams.

There are obviously all the supporting upgrades which are underway for fueling, ignition, turbos, drivetrain etc.

Secondary fuel injection? Methanol? CNG/Propane? Hey don't knock it, the nitrous viper guys use it as secondary fueling, instant atomization.

Shouldn't matter if you are doing new internals, blueprinting, etc.

Not sure of history but shouldn't matter. Pistons, rings, cylinder walls etc. will be refreshed.

Thats not why I asked, I would like to get a picture of S63 engines torn down after running water/meth and those that haven't and look at how clean they are when compared.

Anyway, how many miles on this engine and what do the inlet tracks look like - i.eis there any coking as with other Di engines?

Thanks

Where are you sourcing the parts from? Mine is apart now... might as well bite the bullet and go all in. I had a u-Joint failure on a right turn at low speed... soo it only jacked up the shaft and sheered some bolts. The mounts failed.

Thinking I got lucky... dont want to chance it when it goes back up.

Axles and Driveshaft are from DSS. The Diff mount I am designing myself. Will have a 3D printed proto shortly
