The idrive software update page (where you input the last 7 digits of your VIN and it tells you what software updates are available) doesn't work on mobile-rendered pages so I'd say no, you won't be able to do this.

Oh, also, just to manage your expectations of the whole software update process - the iDrive software update page struggles with Chrome on a PC (because obviously no-one uses Chrome these days?!) so I used IE11 to do my last download. Also, the BMW software update page thought that v110.x would be an upgrade for my car which is running v130.x already... so even if the BMW software upgrade page tells you that you should install an upgrade, it might not be particularly accurate. Sorry if this is obvious to anyone reading this thread but it annoyed the hell out of me earlier so I thought a minor rant was in order.
