I received my OFT today and tried to flash the ECU but the "write" option is grayed out. Am I missing a step?

We need to build and send you the maps.

Please read through the readme, and submit your original tune for us to create your map!

Just loaded the burble tune and took it out for a quick spin and wow! its lovely mild little pa-pa-pa-pa with the odd loud crack for good measure (which my car has always done at 3k and 5k so I don't think this is bad for anything just a bit more on demand now!) this is going to get me in a lot of trouble in my home town haha! making me want to put the de cats back on!!!

Nice.. hard to tell how loud the pops are but if they sound like loud bangs/gunfire, we would need to make them quieter which is easy to do. Big bands are harmful to the cats and turbos so it’s best to err on the side of conservatism

The burble isn't overly loud. Does do the odd loud gun shot style but then it would do that anyway with the tune at those revs before you added the burble

Yeah it does have the mild burble but it also has the really loud bang now and again. So think it needs dialling down a notch

Just the back boxes have had the perforated section removed so they are straight through. Like I said it would do the really loud bangs with the stock map

so your M5 did the loud bangs with both burble and non-burble tune?

If it was doing the bangs with the stock tune, then it’s not something that we implemented so its going to be difficult to isolate the cause and remove. I suspect it is caused by the exhaust modifications you made. The perforated exhaust packing is there to cause turbulence and can muffle our such things.

Sean- let’s hear what yours sound like since you are running the exact same settings as dsmclark

It would do yeah. More so with the tune but it would do it stock as well. Mainly if you hit 5k rpm then change gear and come off the gas
