1) What's the difference between High, Business, Professional, Premium, Motion, Route, Next, etc.
2) If you did a grey import or parallel import of a vehicle from another region (e.g. German Domestic Market vehicle brought into Southeast Asia), is is possible to replace the European map data and install South East Asia map data instead?

1) Each of those is designed for a specific type of navigation hardware. i.e. (High is for the MKIV system in most models before 2005, Professional is for the CCC system in 2005-2008 models, etc).

2) In most cases it's possible as long as it's not being imported to and from Chinese/Taiwan/Korea or Japan.

If you want to PM me your specifics, I can advise you accordingly on your options. I'll need the model year, model and/or the last 7 of the VIN/Chassis Number.

hey guys having some trouble, got the maps from dracon (and he is awesome to work with btw) but i'm having trouble getting the maps onto the USB. i drag and drop, into the usb folder but when i go to plug it in, nothing happens in the idrive screen.

You mentioned you had a Mac. Did you read the notice at the bottom for Macintosh users about hidden files?

I updated mine last night. I had some issues with formatting the USB stick and he walked me through everything. He's the real deal, very knowledgable and helpful.

You'll saved hundreds and get the identical maps that your dealership would sell you.

Crazy not to go this route.

Europe West Premium 2016-2 (3xDVD / 3xUSB Version)
Europe East Premium 2016-2 (3XDVD / 3xUSB Version)

You can still use a single USB to load them, but you have to swap files/folders around. Instructions provided with the maps.
