Finally found "the one"

I've been researching and watching the market for the last 6 months or so. I recently got into the position where I could comfortably afford an F10 M5 so I started looking seriously. I found my unicorn! I was going to be in Charlotte for work and this car was in Raleigh. I got a ride out there from a friend. Pending a PPI to be done next week, she will be mine.

It's a 2013, Imperial Blue on full merino Silverstone interior, 49k miles, and most importantly to me, it's a 6MT! The only thing I compromised on is it being a 2013 versus 2014. I'll upgrade the steering wheel and maybe the kidney grills.

It looks like factory mufflers installed but it seems to have more growl than I'd expect from a stock exhaust. I looked underneath as best I could. I'm wondering if it has aftermarket midsection still installed. The pipes looked big and I didn't see any resonators or cats. I'll have to look at some "stock" photos.

Pending a good PPI, I'll be flying down from Buffalo to pick up the car in a few weeks.

Sharp! Hope the PPI comes back with no surprises. That would be a fun road trip home.

Sick bro!

You should name it "Neo" because it's "The One."

What did they find in yours? Metal shavings?

Any other common issues they should look for? The shop works on exotic cars and high end stuff such as BMW M's It's definitely a low volume shop though, so I don't know how much specific experience they have with the F10.

If the M5 is anything like my E92 M3, there's a drip pan under the DCT. If there are any oil drops in that pan, it could indicate a leaking O-ring where the Mechatronics cable enters the transmission. If that's the case, it might be costly because of the labor involved. Money was $2400, but again, that's on an M3.

Luckily I don't have DCT, so no worries on that problem!

I drove the car home last Saturday. Around 650 miles total. No real issues. I did realize a few small things, mostly cosmetic. The car drove flawlessly though!

Last night I put the car on my friend's lift. Everything is clean underneath, no leaks, tight suspension. I changed the oil too, so I know what's in it and when it was changed. Further PM coming up in the next week or so!

Nice. Is it the Comp Package car or the one they just got in? They are easy to work with although at the beginning were hard to get a hold of. Also, don't think you will save much off their asking price because they know what they have when it comes to "rare" cars - in this case, a 6MT F10 M5.

IMO that is the worst interior color. So hard to keep clean. I've hated it on all bmws.
