Here is 16' in case anyone needs it.

Also, interesting tid-bit. Look at 16MY M5 vs. M6.

Thanks for the update. I’m looking at a few 16 cars. One asking 66,800. Seeing those MMR values makes me think they won’t be coming off the price very much.

So, I've a 2015 M5 with one month left. My contract says I may purchase for $76k and some change.

However, the value appears to be much less. Does BMW Financial negotiate the stated purchase option price if you wish to buy the car for the fair market value?

No but your local favorite dealer may flip the car back to you at your negotiated value over dealer payoff. Dealers who do this will also get charged a little extra to flip the car back to the original leasee from BMWFS. Might be able to get the car a few hundred bucks cheaper if you get a different name when to buy your car out.

If you had MSD applied during your lease, you can also further lower the sale price by applying the cash directly to the payoff value of your car.

I think you under-estimate how much they want those cars gone, every week the clocks ticking on when a new low will come.

I think most dealers learned with 13-15s they don't want these cars on lots with how rapidly they drop.

Sorry all been busy, here ya go. MMR doesn't have an option to include CP, so if you want to PM me a VIN# I can look up a specific car.

Thanks for posting that! I may wait a few months into 2019 to pick one up; I'm also looking for a clean 2014/15 CP w/ under 70k miles.

I bought a 2013 a month ago for $34k with 69k miles - Executive, Driver Assist, and B&O options. And a new set of PSS's.

pcohen15 I was wondering what you'd moved on to! So, tell me how you feel about the switch, as I'm also trying to go from a e9x M3 to a F10 M5.

For me, it was the right move. I'm older (71), the M3 was a bit difficult for me to get in and out of, and I always had the feeling it wanted me to drive it ... what's the phrase ... in a "spirited" manner.

Think of the M3 as a bantamweight MMA fighter and the M5 as a heavyweight boxer. The M3 is quicker and of course, the noise is irreplaceable. That said, the M5 is comfortable for a full-grown family of four, makes huge gobs of power, and is overall a smoother driving experience. Just loafing along at about 2500 RPM (IIRC) and 100 mph is effortless.

I also went from a 2009 to a 2013, so there's more tech, which I like. And the B&O sound system, although I would not have paid $3700 when new, is really good. Really good, if you care about things like that.

The M5 I found was $106k when new, so I'll take that kind of depreciation any day. I immediately bought an extended warranty for it, so I'm good for 4/50.

The more I drive it, the smaller it feels, but it'll never have that nervous "Can we go? Can we go now? Faster? Can we go faster now?" attitude that the M3 has.

Those are my overall reactions. Let me know if there's a specific comparison in which you're interested.

Happy New Year!
