160k update and accident woes
Hit 160,500 miles and going strong. No issues to report. Everything is still stock. It hasn't needed anything replaced. The last service (diy) was around 100,000 miles for ignition coils and spark plugs. No lights on dash.
Until now... I've got a collection going. Including airbag alerts and restraint failure codes. I was at a full stop waiting on a red light in downtown Bellevue, WA. There was no traffic and no hazards. I'm guessing she must have been going about 35 mph and not looking out her windshield at all. Oblivious to the red light signal and my brake lights on. Rear-ended me straight on. Bumper, trunk lid, and the driver seat headrest charge has detonated. The bumper cover cover has not been removed yet and I'm guessing there's more to it than that. I'm hoping there's no rail or frame damage. I could use a little help here: The last body shop I talked to said they could start in 6 months. I'm still making calls but that seems to be the theme here. Finding someone who could start on it within the next month or so. Anybody know a shop in the Seattle/Bellevue/Redmond or PNW in general that you trust? |
