Question Tire recommendation please ~650whp

I need to get a new set of tires for the rears at the very least.

Would appreciate some recommendations.

Stock 343m wheels. Looking for as much grip as possible for a car driven a few times a week mainly to work and back with some spirited driving here or there.

I like the idea of the toyo r888s but going 315 wide poses its own set of issues, longevity and not suitable for a full season. I live in Perth Australia which is a dry heat mainly , roasting summer with a mild winter. Happy to consider the toyos if someone can convince me is suitable.

I recently added bm3 stage 2 OTS 93 tune, project gamma intakes and vrsf down pipes. The car now has zero traction in first, second and occasionally third. I have contiSportcontact 6 tires which are likely compromised by getting too hot on a private drift school setup session I did about 6 months ago. Since then the tires haven't really gripped and the new mods have made the car pretty ridiculous without traction control.

I am thinking Michelin PS4S will be a good option but wondering if anything else better for my setup or keen to have some recommendations. Apologies for the novel, just want to get this right.

I recently installed Michelin PS 4S (305/30/R20) and these things are beautiful. The grip is amazing.

I wouldn't recommend anything else.

In Perth I'd be going R888R or PSC2. In Auckland, I'm happy with my PS4S

I think the PSC2 sounds like the way to go for the dry weather here.

A few people recommending 305 over 295. Is this a good or bad idea? Remember stock wheels 343m

Brought up a recent thread for you at top of this main column (one below this one) to see what a 305 looks like on a 343M rim 10J which is 1/2'' short but apparently no problems from what I can see and gives more grip on take off.

Currently running Mich PC 2’s at 305/30/20’s. And much better grip than the stockers but still spin 1st and 2nd so i’ll Be looking for something with a little more grip... i’m In FL and we have a fair amount of rain so has to have some tread for DD.

I am in the same boat. Just going to go R888R's after I wear out the SC2's this summer. I drive the car minimally in the winter and have 10.5" stocks out back so not an issue
