DCT fluid

Within the next few weeks I plan on servicing my gearbox, new filters, oil pan, mechatronics cover gasket and fluid.

I would like to use quality fluid but don't want to pay over the odds, this would include dealer fluid. I looked at valvoline dct fluid as valvoline products have always been well rated in the UK, to my knowledge anyway. What fluids have you guys used in yours? I've heard good things about motul but cannot find a supplier in the UK that doesn't want to rip me off.

Any advice would be appreciated as my car has just touched 40k and don't want to leave it much longer despite the replacement interval being double that.

Thanks

Why not just use the Pentosin DCT Fluid.

Pentosin is more money. I managed to find motul for £12.80 per litre, I'll probably end up going for motul, unless someone has a reason why I shouldn't.

I'm sure Motul will be just fine as long as it meets spec. The DCT fluid change I'll go to my local BMW shop to change since you need the software to know trans temp for correct fill. He only uses factory spec oil. Either way I think you'll be good, lots of guys on here using different DCT oil as long as it's specd for our cars I'm sure you'll be fine. Any good quality fluid will serve you well. For something like DCT that isn't changed all that often I'll probably go with Pentosin.
