Brake pedal free play?

Hey guys, can you guys do me a quick favor. Once you shut your car off, pump the brake pedal a few times to get it hard by exhausting the vacuum in the booster. Then reach down and see how much free play your brake pedal has. By free play I mean from resting position to where it starts to feel resistance. Maybe only 1/4"-1/2"? Trying to see if mine is normal free play at the very top of the brake pedal, I have about 3/8". Bmw does not have an adjustable pushrod so I just want to confirm you guys are the same. As soon as my pedal moves, the pushrod moves, so the play would be from pushrod to master cylinder. Just want to see how much your pedal moves, here's a pic of what I'm talking about. Thanks again!!!!

Here's a video of mine. The movement in the video just feels like spring tension, and pushrod moves.

Thanks buddy! Yours is really light too during that play? Not just the play but how light it is.

Yeah it is very light, there is no contact with the master so you're only pressing against the return spring.
