Just pay the $20k and you'll have a 100 too! The best part of the press release was the socialist final paragraph, "While the P100D Ludicrous is obviously an expensive vehicle, we want to emphasize that every sale helps pay for the smaller and much more affordable Tesla Model 3 that is in development. Without customers willing to buy the expensive Model S and X, we would be unable to fund the smaller, more affordable Model 3 development."

2.9 is for model X. Model S is quoted at 2.5.

The article I saw said it was the quickest production car available now for purchase. The la Ferrari and 918 are both supposedly quicker to 60 but they are also sold out; so you can't buy them new.

Someone on the forum made a great comment, it's a one trick pony with a pretty amazing trick, but still behind the competition in other key areas such as high speed acceleration, interior/luxury and track prowess.

To call the tesla a one trick pony I don't think is fair... It made electric cars appealing, after most would think it was not... It is the apple company of auto industry and is constantly improving features, like their version of cruise control the auto pilot is way more advanced that any other cruise control and to never to change oil or fill up gas is another feature that no other luxury car that I know of has yet to do... Granted the inside is not as nice as my bmw, but when they do have one as nice inside it will be a no brainer to go own... And since all the weight is in the bottom middle of the car they are a pleasure to drive as well, except the missing exhaust note....

Agreed the quickness of this car is enticing but like others no sound = no fun. I loved driving my e90 m3 more than my f10 m5 just from listening to the engine note...that is until I installed my MSR intake! Maybe tesla should take a page from BMW and put ASD with tesla models to at least fake an engine noise! Haha
