2. Can i have the stitching made in white?

You can have both but the contrast stitching is limited not everywhere.

Ask your dealer to get you a quote from BMW. Expect it to be pricey.

Somebody earlier posted that the contrast stitching costs$5500. Not sure about brown dash.

Same I was trying to get a quote to do this and have yet to hear anything. I want full black leather with silver stitching to match the exterior of the car. The Cohiba is nice but I don't think it matches well with the SilverStone that I am going for.

Sounds like a cool design

For the OP, you can tint the windshield to help with fading; they have almost clear tint now that can be applied to the windshield. I also always use a windshield sun shield when I park my car. The dash has always looked very good on all my cars for the past 15 years.

Thanks to all for the info. From reading this thread I have so many new leather products to try. This will be my first car with "real leather"

I am exactly in your boat...I just can't seem to get away from liking the silverstone interior regardless of upkeep. The black is too dark inside and the orange is nice but I think its a fad type colour.

I am thinking of retrofitting my Graphite Individual Extended Leather to Full Leather. Based on what I've read in this thread I think that means only replacing the upper doors, lower doors, and dash.

Has this been discussed here? Is it possible? Has anyone done it?

To be clear: I love the Graphite. I just want to swap out the plastic pieces.

I'm not sure if the retrofit is possible. Best bet is to contact getbmwparts and ask them if they can order the upper door trim and the dash in full leather. I'd ignore the lower door trim since I think that would require replacing the entire door panel.

Is this something that a BMW dealership could handle?

If the part can be obtained from BMW then yes. Otherwise find a custom shop and have them skin these parts with color matched black Nappa.

Not in his case because he has Graphite individual extended leather so his lower dash and seat backs are already leather.

It's only the base upholstery that has plastic in those places.

Yeah I've got lower dash and seat backs covered. Individual Extended is different from normal Extended.

Looking at the door panels it doesn't look to me like I could do the upper and lower parts separately. It looks like it's all one big plastic piece. Might have to replace the whole door panel, which then makes me wonder if I can keep the Graphite middle piece...

Maybe BMW Individual would sell me Full Leather Graphite door panels.

Below are pointers to the Realoem parts for the retrofit

It's the entire dashboard and full door panels.

Just fyi here are the prices for the full / individual leather door panels (as an example I used my VIN
for a Cohoiba Brown interior with Full/Extended Individual leather)

Front door panels $2090.80ea
Rear door panels $1805.61ea
Dashboard is not in the master file but I'll try to get a price

Thanks! Hmm, with those prices I am basically in "trade-in for a new M5" territory. I am curious about the dash though if you can find it.

I think you are best off finding a custom shop to do this. A good shop should be able to match OEM full leather finish.

The dashboard will be around +7000$ ....
As Stealth said you'd be much better off with a good custom shop doing the leather work for you.
Where in the western US do you live ?

I have 3M Crystaline 90% which is an unnoticable tint amount on the front windshield. It reflects nearly 100% of the UV and most heat transfer. I have a leather dash and I am more comfortable knowing this should protect from the sun. IMO

My car with full leather in Silverstone is nearly a year old. I've always had black but Silverstone looks so good with MCB that I couldn't resist. And it bearing up really well. I take a few min to clean the driver's seat occasionally if I notice any grime, and it still looks great. If you are prepared to look after it, it is worth it. I've just ordered a very similar colour trim in a new Boxster (Pebble) so call me a glutton for punishment.

You all could also tint your windsheild with the lightest of ceramic tint and avoid a lot of dash and leather issues, of course continuing to condition on schedule. Tint does help when it's all the way around and unnoticeable on the windsheild if done right.
