What's silly is a brand new member with zero reputation/credibility needing PM access on day one, which is a red flag for that person being a software/maps pirate or a scammer looking to take advantage of other forum members.

Participate in the community, contribute *meaningful* posts (not "me too" or "cool car" replies), and gain some forum credibility.....

A tip for new members is that this forum site is a community. Participate in the forums, add *meaningful* posts (more than "me too" or "nice car"), gain some trust, and then maybe the moderator cabal (TINMC) will approve your PM access at their next monthly meeting.

None of the people responding here including me are moderators on this site. We're just letting you know that your behavior and expectations of immediate PM access are raising the possible scammer red flags among the forum's community.

Funny story - I've been a member here since 2019, and have never needed to send a PM to anyone. I have never even looked to see if I have PM access!!!!!

I interpreted her post that I was referring to as a reminder that we BP regulars need to behave more like Sam Walton's Wal-Mart greeter at every store entrance and less like a the BP-cabal (TINBPC) or a clique when interacting with new members.

As for the PM function, my statistics say that half of the people looking to receive/send them would get much faster satisfaction at the mhhauto.com forums where all of the stuff they're looking for comes from.....
