Injector Issue... Maybe?

Long story short: How do I know if I have a bad injector with no codes?

2014 40K on the clock. Mods included high flow drop in filters and OFT v2.0 stage 1 93 tune.
New NGK plugs and Bosch coils.

Shortest version of the long story: Went and did one of those cruises through neighborhoods for kids so this was a lot of slow stop and go traffic. (I read this is not the best on colder plugs)
On the way home I decided to get on it a little bit and the car seemed to studded but power seemed to come on fine so I didn't think too much of it at first. Car also drove home with no issues.
Skip to a couple of hours later I went to run an errand and the car was running funny. No codes and the car was actually driving fine but I could tell something was off. Pulled over in a parking lot to check it out and gave it a couple of revs then BAM! DTM error. Grabbed the scan tool from the trunk showed misfire on cyl 3. Cleared it and re-started the car. Code came right back. I was upset and confused having just replaced plugs and coils. Did a little research and saw that the slow cruising was not great on colder plugs. Ordered a new plug and put it in. Also put on one of the original coils just in case the new coil was junk. Yay! No DTM or miss fire code! Not so yay... Also the car is back to running "funny". I can start it and tell there is still a miss. I have only driven it around the block since. It drove around fine but I know its not right. Preceded to bang my head against a wall then started digging through the forums before throwing coils and plugs at it. Obviously miss fire codes usually pop up due to plugs or coils.
Do they ever come up due to an injector issue in our cars? I have read there is usually a more fuel related code. I read there is an extended warranty on these. Will BMW replace them with out a code? Can I verify it is an injector with out a code? Is there something else I should be looking at?
Thank you for any input.

*If it was running fine before then unlikely to be injectors. A problem a few have had is that when changing out the plugs the locking clips onto the coils can be a hit or miss affair and if not clipped on right can cause the bad running you describe. You sure you got the correct plugs,(note you have ngk? and not bosch) and right gaps on them.

Car had stock plugs then I put the tune on. Car would go into DTM at WOT. But this would clear out and the car would act and drive normal unless it was WOT. I ordered the NGK based on what people recommend for tuned cars and gaped them at 020. The car was running well and strong with then new plugs and the tune. I agree it was not perfect. At the top of the rev range there was a noticeable power drop but nothing that seemed way out of the way. Although that is another reason I started this thread thinking that power drop was lack of fuel up top...?
I have flashed the car back to the stock tune and have considered ordering a set of Bosch to put in the car to see how it reacts. Just a little frustrated with the in and out of the plugs and coils at the moment. If that is the recommendation that will be the route I take.

Well after being upset with the car and focusing on house items it looks like the issue is from cylinder 3. Although I dont think it is an injector issue any more. Looks like I am getting blow by on cyl 3 causing the plug to fire improperly. Maybe it is something else but that was my first thought when seeing the oil on the plug.

My buddy had a similar issue with his comp 2014. It was the injectors.

We both ran colder NGK plugs without issues. Cruising wasn't an issue.

What did the plug look like when you pulled it?

If you had a leaking injector, it would be wet and would smell like gas. It would also be black from poor combustion.

A leaking injector can cause a misfire at startup or cause misfires whil driving, but it should be very noticable. If you turn off cylinder 3 injector with your scanner does the idle change at all? If it is bad, you would likely not see a change.

Typically, whenever you do any work and than run into a not previously experienced issue, it is related.

The first thing to do is turn off the injector with your scanner and inspect the origonal plug. Next, move the plug and coil to another cylinder and watch the misfire counter. Did it move cylinders? If so, you have your answer, if not. You know it is likely the injector.

If you had this issue after coil and spark plug change then it's something in your install or parts acquired. I would also revert to stock tune to eliminate the chance that it may be tune related.

Follow up. I was getting piston blow by.
Took some to get a good build up of oil on the spark plug but it was noticeable. Getting rebuilt.

What is the estimated cost for the rebuild?
