You have access to both interfaces with the snap in adapter.

Have you tried it and both work? I mean to use both the cradle and attaching something to the USB. I thought I read somewhere that you can only use either and that attaching the cradle disconnects the USB and vice-versa.

In that case that is worth the price then. It were not, I would have passed but now with the knowledge that both ports are available, I will get the cradle for my iPhone 5.

The Cradle will extend the iPhone antenna to the car's antenna. Also will transfer media files with an jailbreak iPhone 5.

Has anyone been able to get the iPod Out interface to work with the cradle?

Just purchased two snap in adapters for iPhone 5 from eBay Germany. If you can't find any, look there.
Being shipped to me via DHL.

I bought a iphone 5 media adapter from ebay.de and when I snap in my phone it charges but when I go to the plug in it says no devices connected. Has anyone had this problem? A quick google search says that my device could be faulty, but I just got it, hoping that is not the case....

2 things to test:
1) Does the same issue occur with the cable or only with the snap in adapter?
2) If it occurs with both, try to reset all settings on your phone. This has solved the problem for me in past.

When I use the cable, shouldnt only the USB option work? I thought the plugin feature only worked with the dock?

If you have an iPhone 5, the cable and the dock have exactly the same functionality. On the iPhone 4 the dock gives you video.

I dont think you understand what Im saying...

If you hit the media button, you can select the phone by the USB option (2nd from the top) or the PlugIn which is at the bottom. The difference is mostly interface and how easy it is to navigate.

If by plug-in you mean the iPod out functionality, then that doesn't work with the dock and the iPhone 5. At least not on my car.

Read this thread for confirmation of what I am saying.

So my earlier post was accurate - there is no difference in functionality on an iPhone 5, but there is on an iPhone 4/4S.
