I'm so ready for an extra key. My kid went to work and grabbed my keys for some reason....so now I'm stuck waiting on his girlfriend to run my keys back to the house.......such a stupid problem to have. I would've called my dealer today if I was not part of this group buy. Sofaking annoyed.

I hear you, I'm ready to get this group buy on the way. I will order the keys on Monday, but still need one vital piece of information.
Could we please extend the list to show the owners' country?
I need to specify the frequency of each key to assure proper function in the designated region!

My seller will be back from vacation tomorrow and I intend to order the first 10 keys for the US and Canadian customers, distributed by A3ch!
In order to be fair, I would normally go by chronological order of showing firm interest, but now I have to go by location feedback!

Looks like Canada's frequency is the same as the US. Stands to reason its the same for all of North America. I PM'd everyone. Only person who didn't go thru was @Studentloanf32.....said his inbox was full so if anyone knows him give him a heads up. Updated list with pertinent info:

One last thing I feel like given the money for this, adding signature upon delivery and tracking makes sense. So I'm making that part of the shipping costs automatically unless someone "opts out" of either. Let me know if you think thats unreasonable.

So the list looks confusing I know. I've grouped by region and tried to honor whose responded with information needed for myself and SCD-1983. At the same time I'm keeping the numerical value of who initially indicated they want to get in on this. If they respond before SCD pulls the trigger then they will be inserted back into the 1st wave section (3 spots available for whoever gives me their info), 2nd wave or if they drop out.

Trying to keep all this info together and make it as fair as possible.

@all: I just placed the order for 10 US and Canadian display keys, frequency 315 MHz. They will be shipped via airfreight to my house, then I will set up each key and check the basic functions.
As soon as every single key was checked, I will ask each buyer for direct PayPal Family & Friends payment, $275 per key, additional fees are paid by the buyer. If a secured payment is desired, please add 3% to $275, totaling $283!

After receiving all 10 payments, I will ship the whole package to A3ch, for further distribution within the US and Canada.

My display still works flawlessly, the quality is top notch and I'm more hyped than ever. My BMW dealership was so impressed, they tried to find a OEM manual for setting up a display key in a F10 and failed 😂 the sales manager thinks up to now that it's some kind of magic 🤣 anyway, for this price, you can't go wrong, other sellers charge more than double!!!

Guys - I checked into programming the new key - and where I am, I was quoted $300 by 4 different locksmiths. Dealership cannot/will not do it.

I apologize but I will have to give my spot up. $600 for a key just isn’t worth it to me. I’m very sorry to flake, and for those of you who have more reasonable programming costs - I’m jealous.

I'm still shocked about these quotes, not including the key on top. Please support each other in this group buy, there must be more reasonable pricing available in the US for just programming this key. I had it done in Germany for around $100, since I don't have the necessary tools.

If anyone knows of a locksmith in the Phoenix area that will do it for a more reasonable price please let me know.

More than half of the locksmiths told me they couldn’t even do it. I just moved here so I don’t know anyone local who can help.

I'm asking a local BMW indy here. I didn't think this would be such a PITA. I see a lot of videos on how to "Activate" a new fob but I think the assumption is that the key was purchased from a BMW dealership.

I think a clear: "This is what you need to do once you get the key" step needs to be ironed out. I'm so confused now after surfing this site and doing my googles. I had no idea this would potentially be a bit arduous.

I'm also curious now too. Who can program this either in NYC/NJ area or remotely? I also don't want to spend another $300 in programming or be stuck with a non-functional key.
