It's almost mind boggling how Top Gear is still making stuff without the 3 amigos.

Good race, but they shoulda done a best outta 3 though.

The key here do you want a real exotic, and save 60k performance appears to be equal. If price is not a factor Lambo hands down. Practicality would be the Audi .....just doesn't feel right to drop 200k on an Audi. Vic has both some of his comments would be the deal breaker on top selection.

Very true Henry although this car will be miles ahead of my lowly 2012 in so many ways and forms. But I just don't have any experience with the new R8. I will say this; I think the V10+ will be that amazing car one can take anywhere without fear of parking it in the right spot, door dings, excessive looks ala the "event" and can actually be a car that can have some miles put on it.

The Huracan will be the faster car to the quarter and will trap better IMHO but the Audi will have equal if not better interior and a less aggressive stance. I do think a properly optioned Audi will be around 210k or a little higher and a Huracan with the right options is in the high 270's. The gap is there to offset some of the buyers who want a little more "function".

Because I love the V10 so much I would have no hesitation getting the Audi and setting it right along side the Huracan. I know the 570S and the 991.2 TT-S loom heavy as an option for this segment. I think I mentioned it before but its a good time to have choices in the entry level supercar arena.

Fully agree, and I would lean towards the V10's can't really love the turbo stuff not loving it yet. Those V10's sound like music, and it's nice to have have choices for sure.

Didn't see video (link broken or removed) but why is it a surprise that they are close. Same platform. Similar cars, no?

Save 60k when buying a Lambo? Meh

On an unrelated note. I went to my bi-annual cars and coffee this weekend. My god, there were literally 10 huracans there. Apparently Lamborghini figured out how to make leasing affordable? Good for drivers. Bad for exclusivity.

Bring on the special edition huracans. Those should be exciting.

I don't think anyone here is surprised (I didn't read it that way), we have known for a few months now that the 0-62 numbers are close or infact possibly in the Audi's favor (The video is a dig run to 62 with no posted times but a quick freeze frame at the finish). It gets a little more weight on the back wheels and can get that extra tenth from it.

Huracan leasing while advertising an attractive payment still requires an larger than normal net cap cost reduction as well (adds Ive seen) like 20-25kk plus fees and this is on a 2015 unit. Lamborghini leasing is via Porsche Financial Services, yes PFS is the leasing agent for Lamborghini and even Bentley too and they don't offer strong money factors (usually higher than .00200) but instead have reasonable residuals. This locks that lessee in unfortunately.

Top Gear is huge. Even without the 3 amigos, there is the magazine with its own set of journalists, then there are Top Gear USA, Australia, Poland, Russia, Korea and France.

This video was apparently produced by Top Gear poland.

Mine is financed with VWFS... do they own PFS or are they separate financial services companies?

Since you are on the other side of the pond you might be under the parent company aka VWAG which uses VWFS.
