Easy Care Warrant Experience?

Does anyone here have experience with EasyCare extended warranty? Want to get it on a new car I just purchased wanted to see if anyone had any experience with them and how they are.

Going through a massive malfunction right now with them. I would highly recommend you get a warranty; however, these guys are tough to deal with. Make sure you get the right coverage package! They only cover rental car for 6 days. My engine blew so 6 days is definitely not enough.

I am not worried about rentals to be honest but more worried about them actually covering and paying for claims. What happened with your engine and are they going to cover it? If they are gonna cover it did they make you take apart the engine first?

Yea that's the other shitty part about third party warranty companies that they will make you always tear down the engine first and if they decide not to cover it your gonna have to fix the car regardless.

Any time a company is on the hook for $40-50K in repairs they will definitely do their due-diligence. Even BMW will require a teardown before they replace an entire motor.

My recommendation to you is to definitely buy a warranty. I recommend Carmax, Guardian or Fidelity. Unfortunately, most companies will not cover M cars. If the only option is easy car which it was in my case from Valencia BMW then go for it.
1 turbo failure and you've recovered your investment...

Not many will cover an F10 M if you don't buy it from a dealership. I know Fidelity won't. Or Carmax. Or First Guard. I got a 5/50 policy through Patriot Warranty, the Premier Elite for a pretty good price. Not exclusionary, but those policies are a dying breed for our cars.

The only other who was able to provide a quote (that I found) was Toco Warranty. They're a broker for Warrantech who actually provides the coverage. They covered an S85 motor no questions asked for me back in 2014.

I have the EasyCare "Total Care" coverage and I just used it on a 4K repair a few weeks ago. BMW took my car in for another issue and during that time they found an oil leak. My service advisor contacted EasyCare, one of their inspectors came out to verify and approved the repair. So no complaints from me and i'm glad I purchased it!!

Did you get the warranty through the dealer or buy it separately?

I don't have any information with Easycare but I did get an extended warranty through Ally. The only thing they don't cover is maintenance but they cover literally everything else. I haven't used it and hopefully won't anytime soon but it cost me $4400 for a 5 year 50k mile "bumper to bumper" warranty. The dealer started at $6,600 and eventually came down to $4400. Warranty also includes roadside assistance and car rental for the entire time the car is in the shop. I have a 2016 that had around 42k miles when I bought it and I negotiated the warranty from the dealer the day I bought the car (not a bmw dealer). Still under factory warranty until oct 2020 though. Good luck!

I purchased the warranty through the BMW dealership that I purchased the car from. It was a good decision! I almost passed on it because it was a CPO.

So here is the upadate:

I just bought easy care warranty for my f85 x5m for full coverage and bought the same warranty for my f10 M5 but power train only since my f10 has more miles and full coverage was way too expensive. Ended up costing me $4200 for 5 years and up to 104k miles. My f10 is 2014 with 44k miles.
