Radar

Hi Guys

Just curious what radar detectors you guys recommend. I have a 10+ year old Valentine one and am looking to upgrade.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Just researched this topic

After my online research, I decided on the Uniden r7, the r3 was widely popular and the r7 has a lot of upgrades including GPS. I will be installing it later this week but there are a lot of reviews on it. Personally, I would love to have more of a smartphone based radar detector but I figured I would start with this one (cheaper) and if I want to move to the smartphone version later, I'll just give this one to the wife who has more of a lead foot than me (unless I'm punching it of course).

Uniden R7 is the way to go. I've had my uniden R3 for over a year now and its great. I want to get the R7 but don't really have to get it as my R3 is pretty good as well.

If you end up getting an R3, I recommend this guide to setting it up. Works perfect for me. https://www.vortexradar.com/2017/06/...den-r1-and-r3/

Another vote for Uniden.

Over the Thanksgiving season I had seen quite a steep discount on some lightly used ones.

Uniden R7 and I've had several escort radars before. Definitely a great buy.

If you want the best range buy Uniden .. if you want great range paired with the best BSM filtering in the game buy Radenso Pro-M.

Tiny size and super quiet .. if it makes a peep, 99% of the time the threat is real.

It has no arrows but I honestly don't miss them at all .....

Front sensors are a stealth install behind the front grill. Can't even tell when looking directly at it. There is a remote laser sensor integrated in the lower housing of the rear view mirror. From outside it looks like a rain sensor or dimmer sensor. The brain is tucked in the ash tray. Ash tray closes.
Now here is someone who actually should censor their license plate in his pics...looks expensive and very illegal.

Technically, laser jammers are legal in most states with a few exceptions.
They're illegal in these states: California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Washington, D.C

The more you know....
