- Trade 458 for what ?

Hey guys I need some input from you guys . This is an M5 forum but it's more of a Ferrari, Porsche, Lambo chat ; )

So I have had the 458 for one year exactly and just finished the warranty. Car is my daily driver and now starting to give me some problems here and there and getting annoying .

I have a 488 on order and will get it for MSRP but will arrive only around June .

I have following the marked to the Huracan and would be able to get a '15 for around $ 230k with super low miles . Also been looking at the Mclarens, found a 2015 with 1000 miles spider for $ 240. Crazy fast but not sure .

What would you guys do in that situation ?

I dumped my 2014 458 for the Huracan and haven't really looked back. I'm sure you have driven one but if not, please do.

So are you asking if you should just wait until the 488 arrives? Or if you should dump the 458 now before the 488 arrives, or if you should dump the 458 for something else now and not get the 488 at all?

I drove one a few weeks ago but was bumper to bumper traffic . Gonna try to drive one this week

Yes, if for example trade it for an Huracan and then not get the 488 next year . 488 will be at least $50 k more than a slightly used Huracan

I don't think you can go wrong with either the 488 or the Huracan. Both are awesome. You should also consider the new 2017 Audi R8. Production starts in Spring I think.

If it were me though, I'd get a Speciale or F12 Berlinetta instead, but that's just me.

Standard on 458's especially if you don't drive it enough. Just start the car and let it run for 10 minutes, then turn off and restart and it should be gone.

A few parts were replaced on the last visit, hopefully will be ok for a while . 13 k miles on the odometer

Last week when I was driving kinda hard , the car went on limp mode , shutting down a few cylinders, I still love how the 458 looks but it's no 911 turbo S in reliability and performance

you can always decide later if you want to keep 488 or sell it to "next in queue", especially if you are buying at MSRP

Not such a good idea to get a first model year run Ferrari in my opinion. I would recommend the Huracan. It's the last bastion of NA purity and the noise that V10 makes is out of this world!
