Pending on performance this may be one of the best Supercars on the market.

True. Until it needs service at Ford dealer. Ask most C7 Z06 owners about their thoughts on that.

The rear tires are not skinny. Also the rear rims are bigger and wider than the front ones

Those are skinny. My ZL1 has 285 up front, my Z/28 has 305 up front. <-- All factory. Heck the M5 has 295 rears. People cry all day about inability to put power down...

Well your ZL1 and Z28 both have engines on front with front weight distribution. 570 is a middle mounted engine with rear bias weight so no need to those wide tires plus this super car has precision suspension in addition to very accurate Stability Control System. Comparing to M5 (which is not apple to apple), 570s has a lot less torque (you can read 100+ in real world) with longer gear ratios so basically the transferred torque to rear wheels is a lot less than DCT F10 M5 on top of lower center of gravity that help a lot to have much better handling and stability; Further more M5 needs wider tire for body roll too.
We can argue why 911 GT3 (RS) has wider tires (if we want to have apple to apple comparison)but then you need to consider 911 has wider track too...

Simple answer? Fun. A little less grip equals more fun and this particular model in the Mclaren range isn't meant to be the ultimate performer. It's not trying nearly as hard as the GT3, for instance.

Not so fast. Go drive this car. Performance is much above what I expected. Car sticks. Acceleration is blistering.

You've driven the 570S?
How does it compare to the 675LT or 650S (if you've driven that)

Like I stated earlier I'm in the market for a 570s or 650s, just really depends on the deal.

Haha, our paths cross again.

I've been fortunate to drive one - along with the 12c and 650 - though I don't own any of them. The 570 has grip for weeks, but it's still more playful than the 650, for instance. They could have put more rubber on it, but chose not to so it would feel more alive and playful, rather than planted and insanely quick. That's my interpretation.

In a different thread in this section he posts up his new 675LT- he owned a 650S prior and also drove the 570S a few weekends ago and loved it.

Are you kidding this is no where in the league with a ZO6 low production car vs. a mass production vette. Look at the history for the GT50 you can't touch a 2005 for less than 400k. The 2017 will hit resale at 1M ask my buddy coldlist why he's trying to nab one ..........
