Brilliant choice in colors and interior brother, great car and I have no doubt it performs. I wonder how much better the CP is than the regular F80 M3?

Congrats.

thank you Vic

I love how the colour changes in different light. you can see it very light blue as per the phone pics to then silver just by changing the angle away from the sun. I love the interior too. seats are very comfortable apart from when the kids in the back realise they can poke their hands through the holes and dig their little fingers in your back and love handles!

I still need to have the break in service in about 800 miles but I can tell you now, it does not have the pull of the M5 midrange. perhaps off the mark it might do, as traction seems to have been sorted out with this model. perhaps its the wider rear tyres on the CP that grip that much better.... or the tweaked dampers that allow it to keep the power down. the traction light barely flashes even when I boot it... I think it could do with another 100hp and 150 lb/ft of tq for that midrange 3rd and 4th gear from 60mph upwards... maybe i'm just used to how the TTS pulls and not a lot else can live up to that..?

cornering is effortless and it changes direction at speed with no dramas or body roll. perhaps a little harder ride than the non CP with sp+ suspension set, due to the 20" wheels, but sport and comfort are still firm enough to drive with a bit of oomph and use daily without feeling every dump or stone in the road..

overall I am impressed with it.

I have now disconnected the exhaust valves so the values are always open and it makes it sound much deeper and throatier.

I would think the new series M5 in a couple of years time will be a nice upgrade from this, and I shall sit patiently for that to hit the market...

Well played and the CP is beautiful- the wheels are fine but some of the F8X boys on the other side were crying. Congrats again.

Well done nice color and option choices. I too think it's a all around good DD, and handles very well in my opinion. Enjoy in good health.

Nice pick-up! I dig everything except for the wheels.

Jealous of those seats.

Is it possible to get the M3/M4 Competition Package without those 666M wheels?

Due to an unfortunate event, I have recently changed up my cars for both me and the wife. I had an E93 M3 (totaled due by rear end) and a F10 M5. I needed a lineup change so I purchased a F13 M6. Having both the M5 and M6 for a couple of months I felt that the M6 did everything as well or better than the M5 so I traded the M5 for an F80 M3. My purpose for this is so I would have that occasional track car if I needed it and it would serve as the family car as well. Having had both now for a few months now I have to say each time I walk into the garage, my first choice is the M6. The decision always boils down to the exhaust tone. I have been desperately trying to love the exhaust sound from the S55, but each time I start my M6 it just keeps putting to shame the M3.

I hear you... I have test driven doze of Kings to convince myself to switch when my lease is up at the end of summer BUT the more I drive the King, the more I fall in love with M6

I love it every time I go on curvy roads. I also love looking at the car. It is also much more fun to push around the corners than the M5/6, but the noise only gets worse higher in the power band. I bought cat-less downpipes in hopes that it would deepen the sound, but it only amplifies the stock sound. I sometimes think that if I didn't have an S63tu engine as and alternative that it would grow on me, but having that option really ruins the bond.

BTW, that color is sick on your M3. I wish I would have got a different color than AW now.

The noise actually sounds better in the convertible. Once I fire up the GT3 all bets are off on the sound because it's insane. The GT3 is what made me park the M5, but the M4 gets time because of the convertible.

I have just sold my GT3 and going back to beamer. Just ordered myself an M4 ZCP due in early July.
Just like you, wanted something fun for the daily that could be thrown around when needed.
Can you tell us more about the car? how u feel the 20s ride? worried about the 30 front section tire the most.

Wow the rims in that color is awesome. Is it a dark grey or is it black? Looks more grey to me.

To answer your question, F*** no, those black wheels are ugly! Your car looks perfect. I really like those CP wheels as is, and of course with SS you can do no wrong in my opinion... what a fun color and one you really have to own to appreciate. I loved seeing the pics of your new car... made me all nostalgic-like....

M5essex:

I forgot to explain why it looks 100 times better. To me, the comp rims look flat faced, even conVEX faced. The darker face would lessen that effect, making it look less flat/convex.

Plus, the darker face would match your tint and CF bits.
